Based on a 19th century farmhouse and its outbuildings, the cottages are superbly appointed throughout. The communal area surrounding the cottages is landscaped and includes a children's play area, brick-built barbecue and an indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi and children's pool.

Adjacent to the cottage complex is the Borth links golf course and a nature reserve managed by the Countryside Council for Wales.

A short walk away is an 'Excellence' graded Dragon Award holiday park whose facilities (including licensed family clubroom and children's play areas) are available to guests staying in the Aberleri Cottages during the summer season. Free membership is also available at the nearby Glan y Mor Leisure Park, whose indoor leisure centre (including swimming pool, fitness gym and Ten-Pin bowling alley) is open throughout the year.
